 Luguhu Public Center is located in Ninglang Yi Autonomous County, Lijiang City, initiated by a group of individuals dedicated to poverty alleviation and educational support in the mountainous regions of Yunnan. Formally established in March 2014, it is a non-profit civil organization based in the mountainous areas of Ninglang, Yunnan. Its mission is to revitalize rural communities, improve educational environments in economically disadvantaged regions, raise public health awareness in remote villages, and preserve and pass on the cultural heritage of local ethnic minorities.

Rooted in Ninglang, a national key county for rural revitalization assistance—the center’s headquarters lies at the foot of the sacred Goddess Gemu Mountain and beside the beautiful Lugu-Lake. Through on-the-ground volunteers who gather firsthand, authentic insights from assisted regions, the center designs tailored support plans based on beneficiaries’ actual needs, implementing and tracking interventions through effective methodologies.

Our current independent initiatives include: Rural Revitalization (in partnership with Guangdong Danzi Foundation), Health Care Initiatives, School supports, including encompass village waste incinerators, mountain-village water diversion systems, school drinking water purification projects, the "Rainbow Action" of women’s health program, "Sunflower" rural health room, village road lighting projects, first-year university scholarships, and infrastructure support for struggling schools. 

The center has also collaborated with other charitable organizations on projects such as: One Foundation Music Classrooms, One Foundation Warmth Kits, GeLuYing-New 1001 Nights, Qianshu·Qianai-Dental Care Initiative, Ama’s Hearth-Elderly Care Program, etc..

Though we are but grains of sand, together we can pave paths. Where there is a path—no matter how barren or challenging—there is hope. We warmly invite compassionate individuals, groups, and organizations to join hands with us in advancing education and rural revitalization in China’s mountainous regions!

        宁蒗一名，系民国6年（1917年）设分县时，各取永宁和蒗蕖两地一字合并而成（永宁、蒗蕖两州为元朝时设立）。宁蒗历史悠久，据发掘遗址考证，4000多年前就有人类在此繁衍生息。宁蒗生产力水平低，社会发育程度参差不齐，经济社会发展起步较晚。解放前夕，金沙江边的僳僳族保留着刀耕火种、游牧游耕的原始共耕制，凉山彝族保留着完整的奴隶制，坝区和半山区的摩梭人、普米族、汉族等，则处于封建领主制。宁蒗各民族的宗教礼仪、风俗习惯、生产生活方式等，至今尚不同程度地带有原始社会的特点和遗风。
